Early in act one, Margot (Grace Kelly) is explaining to ex-lover Mark (Robert Cummings) how one of his love letters to her had been stolen by a blackmailer. He asks her if she has told her husband Tony (Ray Miland) about their affair or the blackmail, she responds, "Bob, no!" Well, the character is Mark; the actor is Bob.
Personally, I think that that is a pretty bad mistake to make, and I can't believe they missed it! It would be one thing if it was Mark and Clark, or something like that, but Bob???!!!
im going to have to doulbe check that scene. i dont remember her response. i thought it was something more like, "good heavens, no" but obviously im wrong.
I've just listened to the DVD three times and Grace Kelly does not say Bob, she says Mark. I think with her accent - sounds like Mawk - and the fact that she says it very quickly, you might think she said Bob but she didn't.
