This is interesting. Also in Megamorphs #2, Tobias broke his wing, morphed to human (or something like that) and back to hawk, but the wing was still broke. Why? The DNA stays intact. Right? In the other books the other Animorphs could morph out of their human bodies and back again. Then their wounds were healed. Why humans, and not hawks?

For the slip-up, Cassie is used to demorphing from bird form and sometimes forgets that Tobias doesn't. and for the comment the reason Tobias' wing won't heal is because he wasn't born yet so his DNA isn't there to be intact.

When Tobias was once a human he morphed into a hawk. It was the first time the had ever morphed so they didn't know there was a 2hour time limit. He stayed as a hawk for the rest of his life.. Tobias isn't supposed to be able to morph at all... Wierd...

They can morph and then demorph, and bleeding stops. Thats it, they still have the cuts and scars (EVEN BROKEN BONES!), but its not bleeding any more.

I think that sometimes they forget that a red-tailed hawk is Tobias' true form, even thought it's been a while. I noticed that, too. Also, to the person who reviewed before me, they DID know there was a two hour limit, Tobias got trapped, and in book 13, he got his morphing power back, but remained a red-tailed hawk. How can you not know this if you've read book 50?

I wouldn't call this a major slip up, but yeah I think it was just a silly mistake. True, Tobias was in his natural state when he got hurt, but morphing and then demorphing would repair that. She just happened to write "demorph and then remorph" as opposed to "morph and demorph".
