In the part of the song where "Stan" is in the car making his final message to Slim on the tape recorder. If you look closely you will notice that the buttons on the recorder move from top to the bottom.
Meg: the clear window where the tape can be seen is still on the same side, although the buttons are now on the bottom. either stan is magical, or its a different recorder.
Well, I've tried for a month to get my slipup on here, but nothing. Maybe this will work. In the video, when Stan and his lil brother are at the concert, Stans t-shirt is black. But when the go outside to get Slims autograph, it's white. Not to mention it's snowing and Stan has no coat on.
I know that this has nothing to do with the tape recorder but i thought everyone who listens to this song might want to hear this maybe it's a slip up maybe not but every time i hear this song i am dumbfounded by one part
In Verse 3 when Stan is driving he says:

yet in the next verse when Eminem is replying he says:
And in the car they found a tape but it didn't say who it was to
Is anyone else stumped by this I am i don't understand how he would not know the tape was to him if his name is repeated 3 times in the tape?
Good point. I wondered about that part too. Also, why would he make a tape when he plans to go into the lake. Did Stan not think that maybe the tape would get ruined if it was immersed in lake water!
I believe that the reason Eminem was not aware of who the tape was to because in a murder/suicide investigation, the police would not release the name of the person who died or the person it was to. Doing so could wreck the investigation.
About the 'why whould he make a tape if he was gonna drive into the lake'. I think the fact that he was drunk probably had something to do with it. Also its clear he doesnt plan ahead because at the end he says "oh sh*t, i forgot, how am i supposed to send this sh*t out" refering to the tape. If he had planned it properly, im sure he would have made the tape, posted it and then committed suicide.
