Thrill Seekers - Quake3 Game Enhanced by Quake2 Music
In the scene where the dad calls his son, you can see his son playing Quake3 (a mega-hit 3D-action shooter). There was even a very clear close up of the monitor for a period of 3 seconds. The boy is playing on a map (level) known as Q3dm7, while holding a plasma gun. I was surprised to see that Quake3 made it to a film. (not to mention the boy being allowed to play such a violent game, hehe)
Although I thought the rest was rather hilarious; (hence this slip-up) the music playing in the background of the Q3 game while he was playing was from Quake2, (the previous installment of the trilogy) and to be more specific, it was track 11 from the Quake2 game CD. The music for Quake2 was written and performed by Trent Reznor, the Nine Inch Nails musician. He did not make any music for Quake3, no misunderstandings from my part here. I wonder what he would think if he saw this film, hehe.

Trent Reznor did not do Quake 2's music, only the Quake 1 music. Sonic Mayhem (www.sonicmayhem.com) did the music for Quake 2 (except for the title theme). Quake3's music was done by both Sonic Mayhem and Front Line Assembly. Chris Vrenna, who was also part of NiN did the music for the video game "American McGee's Alice".
