In the episode when Mr. Burns gets a blood transplant from Bart, he is going to the mall to get a present for Bart. On the escalator, he is talking and moving his arms, but at the beginning, the mirror behind him shows his arms still. Towards the end, the mirror gives the correct reflection.
Maybe it was one of those trick mirrors with a delayed reflection you see so often in malls. If not, then that means it's a cartoon. And if it doesn't make sense, well then thank god for people like you to point out the tiny mistakes made in cartoons.
