This statement about a two-door sedan suddenly becoming a four-door sedan is false. Take time to freeze-frame the DVD. At no time does a two-door sedan ever become a four-door sedan. Three two-door sedans were used for filming the Paradise Road scene. What we have here is an Urban Legend that surfaced and refuses to die. There is NO slip up. The car that explodes in the end is a 2 door car. They might have changed the car so they wouldn't have to blow up the nice one..but it is still a 2 door car. I have seen the move 10000000000 times and it is a 2 door car throughout the whole movie.
actually it WAS a 2 door... there was 2 55's used in the movie both were 2 door "post" cars (these cars were 2 of the 3 that were used in two lane blacktop)... when you see the 55 burning it IS a 2 door but is a "no-post" car that had a piece of wood attached to it to make it look like a "post" car
