In the first murder scene, Mr. Boddy hands each guest a weapon and then turns off the light. Despite the fact there was a blazing fire in the fireplace in the previous shots, the room is pitch-black.
This also happened in a very low-budget film that no one but me has seen (lol) called The Dead Hate The Living. In this movie, the characters set some of the monsters on fire in a hallway, and the walls aren't lit up or anything, so you can tell the fire was created with computer effects.
