Pokemon - Team Rocket Loses a Future Pokemon
In the farfetch'ed episode, farfetch'ed steals Team Rocket's pokemon. He takes Arbok and Weezing while Jessie cries,"Arbok, Weezing," but then Jessie goes,"Lickitung" and you can see a third pokeball in the water. Team Rocket doesn't catch Lickitung until the premier of the 2nd season.
The Reason: In Japan, Jessie caught a Lickitung before that episode but it also happened to be the episode that caused people to have seisures and it was banned from television. I guess the animators just forgot they didn't have Lickitung yet.

NO NO NO, the episode "Princess vs. Princess" (even in japan(all of pokemon is dubbed not re-animation)) is where Jesse catches her Lickitung. This was missed in the American episodes, but played later when recieved. Still in season 1 now, season 2 is the next league, "The Orange League". Also, the seisures episode was in season 1, but skipped in America. In Japan it is called "The Porygon Soldier". What you call season two is just the second batch of season 1.

I wish that the part of that episode was just cencored, not skipped.

I severely doubt that, Squirtle. After seeing the damage Electric Hero/Soldier/whatever Porygon caused in Japan, Rachel Lillis (she does the voices for Jesse, Misty, and Jigglypuff) swore she'd never dub the episode.

Actually I'm pretty sure that in the Japanese version Jesse caught her lickitoung (sp??) in the Safari Zone (ep. Legend of Dratini). This episode was banned because the safari warden points a gun at Satoshi's (Ash's) head. Anyway's I'm almost positive that she dosen't catch it in the "Electric Soldier Porygon" episode.

Nay, Starmie, that's possible. However that's not the reason it was banned. Though he did point a gun at Ash's head, it wasn't good enough reason for the censors to ban the ep (I totally agree with them on this part ^_^) While Ash seemed expendable to the censors, when the warden took out a pair of pistols and opened fire at Team Rocket right in the middle of their motto, this pushed them right over the edge and they tossed it in the pile along with James' outrageous crossdressing routine.

Lickitung was captured in the episode titled Princess vs Princess. It was banned in Japan because of cultural reasons, the Ladies' Day festival would not be understood in US and here in Britain, but it has been shown on Sky One on various occasions.

I still don't get why they banned 'Legend of the Dratini'. For guns you say? Did anyone see (U.S. title) 'Tentacule and Tentacruel'. And if I spelled something wrong please correct me. (No sarcasam)

Tentacool And I think they didn't ban that episode because no gun/bazooka was pointed at a human.

"Princess versus Princess" was banned in Japan? Are you sure?

Okay, I can see that things need some clearing up around here. The episode, "Princess vs. Princess" is the ep in which Jesse catches Lickitung. She even uses it to battle Misty in the Princess contest! If you want to see the ep, rent it on video. "Electric Soldier Porygon" was banned because of giving Japanese children seizures. I seriously doubt that any country will dub it and take the risk of causing more similar problems. "Holiday in Aolpulco" was banned for showing James with significant cleavage. The ep with the guns was banned just for that reason, the guns. Pokemon is seen as a children's show; matter must be included and excluded accordingly. In all, however, this makes the "slip-up" not really a slip-up of the animators, but of the people setting these episodes in the order they should be aired. So this slip-up really isn't a slip-up at all.

Yeah, this wasn't really a slip-up, it was just that they showed the episodes in the wrong order. Apparently in Japan, the Princess vs. Princess episode, in which Jessie caught Lickitung, was shown before the Farfetch'd episode. Whereas here, when they showed the Farfetch'd one, the Princess one hadn't been shown yet... for SOME reason, a lot of episodes were not shown in the right order in America. This is also the reason why there was an episode or two with Charmander, shown after the ones where it had already become a Charizard. This has nothing to do with the Porygon episode which caused seizures... and they could probably just edit that one and show it here, but they probably won't. And on a semi-interesting note, the Safari Zone episode with the guns that was banned here was, I think, the episode where Ash caught all those Tauros he has.

In the Farfetch'd episode you will see that Togepi hasn't hatched yet. Jessie actually caught Lickitung in 'Princess vs Princess' where Togepi has already hatched.

No Jessie didnt get a lickatung in Electric Solider Porygon. They had a proto-type Porygon that fought Ash's Porygon given by Akihabara. The scene that made kids throw up was when ash saves TR from missles and pikachu shocks and blows up two of the four missles that are aimed at them. It made nausating colors that caused them to puke and have sezures. Jessie never got a lickatung in that episode. The Legend of Dratini episode was bannned because of the gun pointed at a human or ash. Theres other episodes but it didnt have aiming a gun at another human. Beauty and the Beach was banned because of well you know. But it was made into a cut version I think.

I do not believe that the episode about the safari zone was banned just because he points a gun at ash. If you recall there was an earlier episode were Team Rocket robs a store then after ash, misty and Brock enter. All those in the store then point rifles and them. I think the episode about the safari zone was banned more due to how he threatens to kill ash, if he breaks the rules.

It is being translated right now. They're removing that scene and putting a dimmer on the rest of the episode.

Actully, there are some people that say that the pokemon in the pokeball is a Porygon that she cought in the "Seizure episode". But, the Lickitounge episode was before the So near yet so Farfetched episode.
