Independence Day - Transformers
Watch the film until the President authorizes an air attack. You see Will Smith and co walking to their fighters, and you can see a couple of them in the background - swing wing. When Will is climbing in, it is clearer the type of plane - F14 Tomcat. For starters, the F14 is a 2 seater and no navigator got in with him. But the biggest mistake is that when Will and co were airborne on interception, they were all flying F18's? Do the USA have secret transforming aircraft or something?

1: You don't NEED the navigator to operate the plane, it just makes things easier. 2: When Smith flew against the ship he flew out of one air base, and the F-14's flew out of Area-51, a completely different base. While the USAF, Marines, and Navy DO use multiple types of aircraft each base generally has a majority of type, ie One air base houses mainly 18's while another 15's and another 111's etc.
