Watch in the begining the part where the locals are having a good ole time shooting up the zombies. They show the zombies dropping and then they show the people shooting them. When they go back to the car and shooting more zombies, the ones they had just shot are no longer on the ground
They obviously didn't shoot em in the head... they probably thought better of trying to eat the guys with guns so they scarpered off after the people over there ==>
