it's possible, taking into consideration the rotation rate of the blade, and the rate at which the film was rolling, that they'd be moving at the same rate, which would make it look like the blade was motionless. It's just like when you see a car, truck, motorcycle etc.'s wheels moving on screen. Sometimes they look like they're moving forward, sometimes motionless, and other times backwards. It just depends on the framerate of the cameras and film inside.
