In the scene where Andy is Doing a Show at carnegie hall He is wearing a t-shirt and a yellow pants. In the original show (that happened in real life) Andy is wearing his famous suit jacket and slicked back hair ( like the one he sang "mighty mouse" on SNL) weird huh?
What's the big deal. Jim did a great job acting like Andy. And as far as the outfit goes big whoop. He did a great job acting just like him everything about him doesn't have to be exactly like Andy. Come on get real!!
Hi I am the one who wrote this and I wanna say that I did not hate the film just who was the supervisor on the set because he was not thinking. I loved jim carrey in it but just that one mistake bothered me
Just watch the movie one more time at the very beginning of the flick jim/andy says " all the important things in my life were changed around for dramatic purposes" so pretty much they covered all slip ups of that sort. Didnt you ever wonder why carol kane is on the first 2 months of the taxi shootings she didnt appear in the show until the the 5th season. I mean thats like saying Jim Carry didnt look exactly like andy Kaufman, or andy didnt wear his hair that way on that day. Sorry.
If you watch the actual tape of Andy at Carnegie Hall (you can rent it at most video stores) you will see that he actually changes his clothes a few times throughout the evening. The t-shirt and pants are exactly like those worn by Andy at one point.
I think that the people that came up with the idea to make a movie about one of the funniest guys in the 70's/80's should be rewarded. They quoted Andy on a lot of the things he said(and he does change his outfit many times so they decided to mimic only one).
