After Johnnie and Pony-boy rescue the kids in the burning church, Johnnie is laid up in the hospital; he says his back is broken. He can barely move... but at the end of the movie, Pony-boy finds a letter that Johnnie wrote after they saved the kids. How could he have written that letter in his terrible condition?
In the letter it DID say that he had a nurse write it!

Don't forget: the nurse wrote the letter, not Johnnie.

First in the book it did not say Johnny asked the nurse to write the letter it said he asked the nurse to give him the letter not write it, but he most likely did ask her to write it as well even though it did not say.

The book did not say that Johnny asked the nurse to write the letter. it said, and i quote: "i asked the nurse to give you this letter."

Oh my gosh! If you new HOW to read, when ponyboy is reading the letter in the book he says "...it was in johnny's handwriting." And still, johnny wasn't using his back to write the letter.
