The night before the wedding, when Annie and George are standing outside near the basketball hoop, it starts to snow. George says it hasn't snowed since he was 9 years old. However, the next morning, four or five kids go running through with sleds. How did the kids get sleds so fast? They wouldn't have had sleds if it hadn't snowed in over 40 years, would they?
Not everyone grows up in California. If you lived elsewhere that had snow when you move you wouldn't Automatically get rid of your sled.

Where I live we very rarely have snow, but when we do we improvise! I think that the two children you see running up the street (not 4-5) have improvised using some boards or trays they found around the house!
