Simpsons - Jeopardy!
In the episode where Bart burns down the Christmas tree and blames it on an imaginary burglar, Marge goes on Jeopardy! to try and win some money to pay back the neighbours. When you see this clip, you see that the Final Jeopardy music is playing, and that Marge is still there. However, she has -$5200, and any Jeopardy fan knows that they don't even let you on the stage to play final Jeopardy if you have a negative score.

You'd think that Alex Trebek, who played himself on that episode, would have said something.

Isn't that obvious? Come on, people, it's a cartoon. It's supposed to be funny. People with negative scores in Jeopardy don't have to pay. Can't you take a joke?

ever notice that The Simpsons take everything to the extreme, and that's what makes their antics so hilarious? That was the point in this situation, people!

Maybe she made it to the end, bet too much and ended up with negative

Guys, its the purpose of the episode. The whole point is that Marge is broke, she needs all the money she can get, and having to pay money is bad!

Homer writes:
ryochan, you are wrong...you can't end up with a negative if you make it to final jeopardy. You can only bet what you have, meaning the worst you can end up with is zero. If you could bet whatever amount you wanted, the rest of the game would be pointless. You could enter final jeopardy with $2, and best $10000000000000000000000000000, get the answer right, and win. In any event, your comment is wrong.
