this isn't hard to miss. In Jaws 3, the son is a iron welder, and the wife is a marine biologist. In Jaws 4, the jobs get traded. The wife is now an iron welder, and the son is a marine biologist. What gives? Major movie mistake.

In jaws 3 Michaels girlfriend is called Kathrine and in 4 His wifes name is Carla so they are not the same character.As for the job switch theres about 5 years between the films which is more than enough time for Michael to get a degree in Marine biology.
