Mummy, The - How Many Black Books Were There?

It is night of the day when the Americans have found the Black Book of the Dead. The Egyptologist is sleeping, holding the book in one arm and a Canopic Urn in the other. Evi takes the book from him and carries it to her camp to open it. She reads the words that wake up the mummy. The Egyptologist wakes up and yells, “No! You must not read from the book!”

Now, the great cloud of locusts starts coming. Everybody runs for the buildings, except the Egyptologist. He is next found lying on his blankets, covered with bugs and holding the Black Book.

When did he get it back?

The clip was taken out of the final cut because it was too uneventful or something. I don't know if this is true, he says it can be found in the directors cut. But it was never a book, they didnt have hard covers on books then. there are more that one, but they can't 'raise the dead' or 'kill the dead'...; 15 of 6576 found this helpful. Did you?

Also how the book came to the archiologists hands ..watch closely during the running around with the first plague.
