I believe that was a Treehouse of Horrors episode. Nothing that ever happens in those Halloween episodes stick. Several people die in each one, and return alive in the next episode.
Your right it was tree house of horrors. Those shows are just off-take stories (remember the first one). They have nothing to do with the plot. Just take it as an alternate universe of the same simpsones characters with stupid things happening to them that don't affect the Simpsons that we know.
Ok, now listen here:
All the Halloween specials don't stick, right?
Like on the one where homer goes crazy at the overlook and kills Willy?
Willy got killed in the 10 min. cartoon after that too.
And the one after that.
Don't get yourself over worked by this!
This is the most blatant slip-up EVER on the simpsons!!!
In episode 2F09, when Itchy plays Scratchy's skeleton like a
xylophone, he strikes the same rib twice in succession, yet he
produces two clearly different tones. I mean, what are we to
believe, that this is some sort of a magic xylophone or something?
Boy, I really hope somebody got fired for that blunder.
True, the stuff that happens in the Halloween episodes doesn't stick but Kent died in the same skit in which he returned. Willy died in three different skits. This is a slip-up.
It is difficult to find actual errors in the Simpsons when it comes to Halloween episodes. This is because there is no real way to tell if the writers made a mistake, or if their just messing with you to see how smart you are.
I agree with Walt Flanigan, yes I know on a lot of Treehouse of Horror episodes, people die all the time and they can come back in a regular episode or even in the next 'skit' on the Treehouse trilogy, but that particular time, coming back in the same cartoon he was killed, I think that was a slip-up.
You are coming so close...what he's trying to say is that the advertisments kill kent but he comes back at THE END OF THAT SKIT. not in another skit or in a regular episode so it technically is a blunder
Well, as we all know from Biology, advertisements have no real digestive system or no digestive acid, so it is possible that the news guy, Kent Brockman, simply passed right through the advertisement's system.
yes, but if you all remember the episode where Mr burns is looking for loch ness,he says he was swallowed, but then he leaves out how he escaped from loch ness' insides.maybe Kent Brockman did the same thing when escaping out of the advertisement
Hi everyone, I just wanted to say that I agree with everyone who says that this is a Halloween episode. Nothing sticks, and it's not supposed to make sense! It's the Simpsons for crying out loud!! Oh and listen Homer, whoever you are. Post slipups here if you want but think up your own comments okay? The one you said about Itchy playing Scratchy's rib as an Xylophone is from the Simpsons (the one where Homer becomes the voice of Poochie) so if you're gonna say something here, think up your own comments okay?
If you didn't like my other explanation here is another to prove this is no slip-up. If he did get eaten(which there is no proof he did) he was eaten by a BILLBOARD. How many of you have opened up a giant billboard and checked out the digestive system? If you do you will find there isn't one. Clearly with both of my explanations, there is no slip-up here.
