Check out the scene when Elizabeth(Satan) is the school teacher, while talking to the class she erases assignments off the blackboard. Then there is a cut to Brendan and when it cuts back to Elizabeth the writing is back on the board. During this scene the writing appears and disappears several times.
She erased some numbers and formulas from the top of the board. That is what keeps disappearing and reappearing.
As the camera goes to different shots it's easy to notice the blackboard right over her shoulder. I was just about to add this one myself.
She clearly wasn't erasing everything. Not until the end of the scene does she begin to erase, and even then I believe she stops before she erases everything?? Not sure what the slip up is here.
In the close-up scenes you see that she obviously erases some of the assignments, then in the far-away shots it shows all of the assignments still there.
What it really is (in the cases of most movie slip ups) the Continuity person, isn't doing there job very well. What they do is make sure everything that happened in one take of the scene happens EXACTLY the same way it happens in the next take.
