Sonic The Hedgehog animated series - The Magic Color-Changing Fish & the Magic Color-Changing Spotlight
In the episode called "Lifestyles Of The Sick And Twisted" there are also two huge slip-ups.
First, when the evil Dr. Robotnik kidnaps Tails, Sonic stands on the coast looking for Tails. A PURPLE fish jumps out of the water with a TV set showing Sonic that Tails was kidnapped. When Sonic finished wathcing the TV, the fish's color turns YELLOW.
Then, when the evil Dr. Robotnik prepared to perform on the television, we see the spotlights, including two yellow ones. When the spotlight are turned on, one of the yellow spotlights turns GREEN.

This would be Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog. Oh, looks like I'd better get to explaining... Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog (AoStH for short) was one of the earlier cartoons and aired on the weekdays. Its artwork was rather bad and the plots were childish. This series was pretty much hated by everyone, although it's perfect for entertaining young children (which it was probably aimed for). Animation was simple and the backgrounds were as detailed as the cels themselves. (Which is not good, as cels aren't as detailed as the backgrounds normally, just look at any Disney film and you'll see what I mean.) Sonic the Hedgehog (SatAM for short, stands for Saturday AM) aired on Saturday mornings, the same years as AoStH. This cartoon was THE favorite of them all. It had characters such as Princess Sally and Uncle Chuck. It was supposed to run for three seasons, but due to ratings and some other factors, SatAM was taken off the air and left viewers without a true ending. The animation was great and the plots were excellent. And the backgrounds... wow! Beautiful! Sonic the Hedgehog (Anime, called Sonic Anime) was a Japanese anime (pronounced an-ee-may) movie, based off of SegaSonic. Sonic Underground (SU for short) is the newest cartoon. It aired a couple of years ago, but unfortunatly, was extremely unpopular, SatAM fans especially. The only familiar characters were Sonic and Robotnik and a couple of appearances by Knuckles (his only TV cartoon appearances) and once by Uncle Chuck, which many SatAM fans would agree that that just plain wasn't Uncle Chuck, no way no how. (Looked like him, but the personality and voice was all wrong.) The cartoon was about Sonic and his brother Manic and his sister Sonia out on a quest to find their mother so that they can fulfill a prophecy and overthrow Robotnik. It's sillier than it sounds, plus, they never did find her. Except in some rare cases, it seemed that the sky was always red. Blecch. Animation and backgrounds were both fairly nice.
