In the scene in the banquet hall, before the warriors' first encounter with the Wendol, Egtho (played by Dan Southern - he's the scout-guy) walks into the hall taking off his gloves as he goes to speak with Buliwyf (the leader).

The next time you see him, saying "there will be fog tonight.", he's wearing his gloves.
