The camera does a close-up on his watch, and you can clearly see the 'AL' symbol in the corner of the watch display. The time is actually meant to be the current time, but it can be seen that this time has been set so that the crew would not have to keep resetting the watch on each take. The time shown is the time that the alarm is programmed to go off at, not the current time. This is a fairly large mistake as most digital watches use the 'AL' symbol as a standard display setting for the alarm time.
