"Isabella", the gorilla referred to as "she" throughout the film, has no breasts, and has a head crest and "silverback" grey hair, all exclusively male characteristics. She's a he.
I think I remember seeing the muscle for a falice when they were making her visible again.

It could have been a male gorilla, but they only named it Isabella for another purpose. Isabella might be an egg. Isabella might be the name of the first character to go invisible in a novel or something. You never know, Isabella might be a girls name to one of Steven Kings characters that went invisible, 'cos I think thats where it sounds familiar to, I may be wrong though. Still, I know, stupid name for an animal of the opposite sex.

Anonymous is right. The gorilla is referred to as a female throughout - "She is out again ... " "Her blood pressure ... " and so on. Also, when Caine is (briefly) reconstituted the special effects people were careful to give him a p*nis, forming layer by layer. Isabella doesn't have one. "He" should have, or "she" should lack the overt male characteristics mentioned above.

Maybe they were using "she" and "her" as people do when the refer to boats and such?
