Dark Angel - Where in the World Is Gillette

In the begining of the first part of the two part premier we see the heading "Gillette, Wyo 2009" and for the next 5 to 10 minutes we see kids running through the woods and crossing rivers ect. Well I live in Gillette Wyoming and There are no mountains for about 100 miles in either direction, There are no rivers and the closest forests are 100 miles away by the towns of Sheridan (as large as Gillette) and Morcroft. As a matter of fact Gillette is prairie for about a hundred miles.

Dani writes:: My folks have lived in Newcastle Wyoming for the last 24 years and nothing has changed there in all these years. Well, Max is about 20 or so in the show, so they would have to be raising kids that way now, and they aren't.The mountains, the way Max grew up, everything, is fake. I'm sure everyone is in touch with reality, which is why we have Slipups for TV shows, to point out the mistakes and "slip-ups", in this case someone pointed out the shows inaccuracy in recreating the scene. PMF- Now I am no Geography major, but I do believe mountains a trees take about 60 to even thousands of years to form and get that immense.; 15 of 6576 found this helpful. Did you?
