The blindman is wearing a watch. First of all, obviously if he's blind he would have no use for a watch and second, there was no such thing as a watch in that time period.
When I looked at it, it looked like it could be a bracelet, not a watch.
The band seems to come out from his wrist like a hard, slip-on bracelet would. Most wristwatches have bands that fit snug against your wrist so that you can turn your wrist to a certain position to see the time. If the band were loose, you could not do this.
I may be wrong, but I don't think this is a watch.
