In that masterpiece of a movie, "Arthur", take a look...or rather a listen to the scene where Arthur is confiding in Martha (that powerful, yet gentle Grandmother of his). The atmosphere is jolly and lively, the maid brings in some peanuts that they start to eat, when all of a sudden the mood turns very serious because of Arthur's strong conviction for the love of some poor mystery woman. In response, Martha becomes very serious and direct, warning him that he will lose 3/4 of a billion dollars if he follows through with this woman. BUT because of the few peanuts that she had just wolfed down, this is what you hear... (turn the volume up) ..."Arthur...burp... make no mistakes...you are too old to be poor... you don't know how!" How Dudley Moore pulled off keeping that straight face, is beyond me. He was and is... truly genius!
