In the scene where Jack is quitting his job and the camere switches from him to his boss, you can see a thermostat on the wall behind them. It switches from black to white when the camere switches from Jack to his boss.
I noticed something that could either disprove this or add another slip up to the movie. If you notice, the white thermostat is above the left side of the chair while the black is above the right side. And, it appears that the black one is round while the white one is square. Finally, there is a shelf just to the left of the chair that is under the black thermostat, and i noticed that it is close enough to the chair that you would see it next to the chair that is under the white thermostat. So either there are two different thermostats, or they change the thermostat and remove the shelf when you see the white thermostat.
On the DVD commentary, the director, David Fincher, did explain this -- that they had reshot Ed Norton's side of the conversation later on in the same office, and that the office had changed thermostats in the meantime -- but it's really weird that they didn't at least try to cover it up! It's black, for crying out loud!!
