Go to the part where Doug and Steve are walking to their dad's flower shop. They are both listening to their music. Doug has his headphones on his head and Steve has his around his neck. When they see the lady in the blue dress they pass by each other. Then when Doug and Steve run back to talk to her Doug's headphones are around his neck. You never see him take them off. Then when the lady hits him with her purse they are back on his head. You never see him put them back on. You will need to look closely otherwise you will miss it.
