Rugrats - Secret Staircase

Wait for the part of the episode when Drew hides the chocolates in the upstairs closet. Remember to watch that he never comes back down after he hides them. Later on Drew comes up the stairs and walks by the closet and closes it while their inside. (He doesn't know they're in there.) How could he come upstairs twice without going downstairs?

Also, sort of another slip-up, I can't see any possible way you can get locked in a closet because you turn the door knob the wrong way.
