When the whole crew of the Betty are being arrested in the Mess Hall, Kristy puts his hands behind his back to get the guns on his arms. But in the next shot when Kristy is behind Ren his hands are by his sides. There's no way he could put his hands by his sides without the guns showing.
Yes he could. If he did it very discreetly, or even just slowly, the soldiers probably would not think to look at his hands, considering the captain was busy talking to them, and that they did not appear to be too bright.
Actually I have noticed this slip-up too, it is obviously poor editing. The scene change is instantaneous and he obviously couldn't have moved that quickly. It's not horrible, but it definitely is noticeable.
