In the scene where Drew Barrymore is talking to the killer when he has just rang the doorbell, if you look out the window, you can clearly see that her boyfriend is out there talking to the killer.

One of those things that you think about at the end of the movie when you've found out who did everything and you go "ohhhhhh riiiiight"? I know I did. When I got to the end of the movie and found there'd been two people involved, I thought about that scene that had bothered me and realized that had been the first clue in the movie. If you watch the movie very carefully, you can see several little things like this that all hint at multiple killer/conspirators. I don't really see this as a slipup but rather as a sneaky little plot device to make you think "oh hey wait a sec... " Don't you people watch The X-Files? Think plot device........ think FRONT doorbell ringing and a mere three seconds later chair comes crashing through the sliding BACK doors. Very fast moving killer??
