When Maggie has pulled Freddy out of her dream, he has no hat and some silly lumps growing on his head. When she confronts him as a human, he still has no hat. He then becomes burnt again, and while he does his Spiderman routine on the ceiling, he has a hat on. When he drops to the floor, he is once again hatless.
