hey are you on crack? do you have any weapon experience? when a gun is fired we sometimes see a flame...NOT ALWAYS!!! most gun powder completely burns off in the chamber, but sometimes....i repeat.....SOMETIMES....excess gun powder travels out to the tip of the barrel and ignites producing a flame.

When a gun is fired on screen, sometimes the film is not fast enough to catch the flame. As film runs at around 24 frames a second, really quick stuff sometimes can't be seen.
