When the police are about to bust into Elwoods apartment and Jakes girlfriend blows it up, look carefully at the bricks when the police get up from the wreckage. You will see a brick siting on the edge of the policeman's hat for a second. If it was a real brick that's one heck of a hat!
This movie is a comedy, and the fact that they survive the explosion and having a building fall on top of them and walk away as it was normal is supposed to be funny
Allstar, I think you're missing the point. This is a legitimate slip-up. Having a building made of foam bricks fall on you and walking away as if nothing happened isn't funny.
And I guess its a slip-up when the nazis car goes about a mile off the ground.I think not,its just a joke which is the hole point of the film to be funny.
People, the movie is a comedy. The impossible is possible here. Building blows up, everyone survives. Jake goes to make a phone call, and Elwood follows into the phonebooth, and the girlfriend takes out her flamethrower, and blows up the propane tank, they survive that too!! The outrageous car chase pile-ups?? I wouldn't view it as a slip up, it's meant to be funny!!!
