I know that when you make a movie about computers, you have to explain some computer terms for the audience who may not be that knowledgable, but for Agent Gill, the head of the computer crimes division, he certainly needs some heavy duty explaination of simple (sic) terms like 'uncorrupted hard drive'.
What's REALLY bad is that they mention the Secret Service as the agency for computer crimes. The FBI handles all federal computer crimes cases. The NSA can also be called in, but Secret Service?? I don't think so.
I think that all(most) computer crimes are handled by the FBI, except those that have to do with identity fraud. Crimes of identity fraud are usually handled by the secret service. The 2 types of Identity fraud(I am sure there are more) that I know about are handled by the secret service: True Name Fraud and Social Security Fraud. I was a victim of both and my case was handled by the Secret Service.
