When some of the hackers go to Nikon's house to watch Hack The Planet, we see an interview with Agent Gill on the tv. Trouble is, he doesn't give this interview until the next day, while Joey is being busted.

nosleep writes:: Just in response to the tape recorder bit, it largely depends on the phone. Some of the phones will require that you put at least a nickel into them before they will open the audio circuit that allow3s you to use recorded tones, while others simply won't allow the trick to work at all (especially after the movie was released).
