Get yourself a copy of "The Shining". During one of the early sequences in the film, there are many aerial shots of Jack's car winding through the mountains on the way to the hotel. Check the lower right corner of the screen. You'll see the shadow of the helicopter shooting the footage. This is extraordinary since Kubrick's talent barely surpassed his obsessive nature as his most noteworthy characteristic. During "The Shining" he would routinely have Jack Nicholson, do dozens of takes for a single shot. Yet, there's that helicopter, he might as well have a boom mike in the frame.
