Futurama - A Good Old Fashioned Christmas Tree

Watch the Christmas episode when they are staying at the Catskills Ski Lodge. In almost every outdoor scene the place is littered with pine trees. But later on when Fry wants a christmas tree, the professor tells him that pine trees have been extinct for 800 years. Either I misheard or he needs new glasses.
