Lethal Weapon 4 - Currency Confusion
In the movie, the gang made some counterfeit Chinese bank notes. Among several kinds of notes, only one of them is real. The rest were creations of the filmmakers. Chinese currency is not issued by Bank of China as showed on these notes (in Chinese), but by People’s Bank of China.
Here is the fun part: on one note, “One Yuan” (in Chinese) and “100” are shown together, on another note, “Five Yuan” (in Chinese) and “500” are shown together, and on a third note, “Ten Yuan” and “100” are shown together.
