Look at the left side of the screen when the evil army is uncrossing there weapons. On the left you will notice very human looking eyes and skin on the skeleton.
That really was a screw up, and the director freely admits to not noticing until final editing. By then it was too late to go back and fix it with the proper shot of the 'wireline skeletons' that they had made and were running in the trenches in front of the camera. The ones in the shot weree actually the human actors that were ment for longer distance and back ground shots.(courtesy of the Army of Darkness 'Boomstick Edition').
