In the episode where Joey is looking for the 'hot girl' who lives in Ross' apartment block. He knocks on Ross' door, when he does this,he has a purple shirt on, but when Ross answers the door Joeys shirt is black.Later that day when he is sitting in the girls apartment his shirt is purple again!!!! How strange!!!!
Hey Kelly! How come you keep blaming the editor for all the mistakes, if you knew anything about movie making, and the editors job, you would know that the editor has to work with what film has been shot.
It is very hard to pay attention to every detail. Editor's have enough work to do as there is. They could have shot each scene days in between. It's hard to remember EVERYTHING. It's not that big of a deal anyway, it's just a shirt.
...it is the editor's fault because it's his/her job to make sure mistakes like that don't get to the final cut...he can tell them to film it over or to edit it out.
This clearly is an editing mistake. Joey goes looking for the "Hot Girl" on two different days. The first day he sees her he is wearing the purple shirt (I think, at any rate, one of the shirts) in Monica's apartment. When he gets Ross he is wearing the black shirt. The next time he sees the girl from Monica's apartment (the next day), he is wearing the black shirt again. The editors put the wrong sequences together, or they really botched the filming of Ross answering where Joey is wearing the purple shirt and used the other take, hoping no one would notice the quick shirt change.
There is nothing in the script to suggest that Joey went straight over to the girl's building. Hey, Joey's a smooth guy - HE CHANGED HIS SHIRT! Plus, the scene includes a musical insert which in sitcoms often suggests a certain passage of time, if not a complete change of scene. He obviously stopped by his place on the way to look good for the hot girl.
