In the beggining of the episode, Ross and Joey are playing with the ball in the girls apartment. One minute the ball is blue, the next it is pink.Whats going on here then???.......How strange.
Unmistakably that's not a slip-up. I watched that episode completely, twice, & not once did I see a pink ball. It was a blue ball with red stars from the beginning to the end. What you think you may have seen was the "purplish" effect that the red & blue made while in motion. They blended together & then it did look like it was a different color. Otherwise it remained to be the same ball throughout the episode.
This is obviously not a slip-up. Why would they have even had two balls lying out, and why don't you think the characters would remember which ball they used? Once again, you need to consider the filming of the episode. They would not have more than one ball on the set for that one episode, and the characters would have remembered whether it was a pink or blue ball. Also, the ball was multi-colored.
