Rachel and the gang are sitting in Central Perk, the camera focuses on rachel, her hair is down and perfect. It then goes over to Gunther at the bar and then back to Rachel, her hair is now up. How strange!
This is such a massive slip up, it's unbelievable! Either Rachel is very quick at doing her hair up in funny styles or this scene must have been put in afterwards.

Hey it's not the directors fault. For your info, it's actually the editors', so they shouldn't fire the director.

This is worse than footie slipups, especially poor Phil Neville's.

Lisa, this is in series 4 episode 2, towards the end of the episode. It's not hard to miss as it is such a big mistake!

I think Lisa wanted to know more than Season 4 Episode 2. Like maybe what happens in that episode. I'd like to know to, cause this sounds like a good slip-up.

Around here, in the U.S.A., they never tell you what the season/episode number is when they broadcast the episode. It sure would be nice if they would, though!
Assuming they didn't switch around the episode numbers when they broadcast them in Britain or wherever these people are from, season 4 episode 2 is "The One With The Cat," in which Phoebe thinks that her mother has been reincarnated as a feline. (This info came from www.epguides.com)

The job title that messed up is "continuity" or "director of continuity." This person is on the set and takes notes about the state of props, body angles, lines skipped, etc.
Once the scene is shot, the editor has to work with what's in the can. Editors most often knowingly leave in such slip-ups as an economic decision bearing in mind the cost of re-shooting.

OK, I just watched this episode very carefully...I don't see what you're talking about...Gunther doesn't even have a close-up in this episode.
