In the show Law & Order, they always show the
dates of the investigations, and courtroom scenes prior to showing them. In one episode, the lawyers Jill Hennesey and Sam Waterston are standing outside of the courtroom, it had clearly
stated before the scene it was in the latter part of May. However, they are dressed in winter coats and there are not leaves on the trees in the
background, not even buds. New York City in mid or late May would have signs of Spring. They
should use Stock background shots for certain
scenes. This happens a lot on this show. The exterior shots don't always go with the dates
shown.
