In the first scene, when the kid decides to go check out the nurses house, it's bright and shinny outside. When he gets out, not 5 minutes later, it's pitch black. Tha'ts one quick sunset...
well, the movie only shows him looking in a few rooms, and he said that he had checked out all the house, so he still had left the 2nd floor, the basement an possibly the attic, so it could very well be that the sun had set meanwhile.
