Go to the part where Ash goes through the time warp and the car falls to earth. You can clearly see, with good eyes, that the car is connected to a cable.
I don't think so. I have read Bruce Campbell's book and, I may be wrong about this, but I believe there was a part where he was talking about that scene, and he said something about how, when the car fell, it almost landed on someone. Again, this could be wrong, but I am pretty sure I read that in there.
