Watch the episode where Ash gets Charmandar. Charmandars previous owner is bragging about how many pokemon he has AND has the pokeballs on the tabel. A trainer can only hav up to 6 pokemon on him at a given time, yet this guy has at least 30!
Remember, at the end of the episode Damien says, "I'll smash you with every Pokémon I've got!" and holds up his pile. He was prepared to throw the balls, so there were obviously Pokémon inside. But remember when Ash catches Krabby in 'Mystery at the Lighthouse', Brock says that the Pokémon are transported to wherever you get your Pokédex from. If Damien did not have a Pokédex, his Pokémon have nowhere to transport to.
No they don't! "wherever you got your Pokedex from" was an example really. It is illiegal for a trainer to carry more than six Pokemon. Not even Team Rocket goes that far. Every trainer has someplace to store their spare Pokemon. They get a designated storage site at the same time they get their Pokemon trainer's license (you gotta be at least ten)
the only possible solution here is that he meant say "I'll hit you with every Pokeball I've got!" and fully intended to charge at Ash throwing the balls at his head.
Ahh... now that would be quality entertainment. ^.^
Damian had too many Pokemon because he was illeagally carrying them. Once you think about it, a sleezeball showoff like him probably would do something like that.
He could well have kept them at the Pokemon Centre. In the GameBoy game, you can access a computer in any Pokemon Centre and get some Pokemon from there. And, don't forget that he has his friends with him. Who says that those are HIS Pokemon?
Guys, the Pokedex is only issued to students of Professor Oak--in the cartoon, his only students are Gary, Ash, and two others (as of yet unnamed) Oak invented them and distributes them to his new trainers as an experiment. Damien never had one.
How do you know Damien WASN'T one of the ones to have a Pokédex? I didn't see him show off his badges(which is, as far as I know, the only way to tell apart from the 'Dex.) There were two we still don't know about who could have been people we've already seen. And put the Pokédex on hold for Christmas presents- try a spellchecker first(that works in ENGLISH and not AMERICAN ENGLISH which always annoys me. Removing the 'U' in 'humourous'! I ask you...)
Remember when Prof. Oak showed Ash and his friends the Pokéball storage room?
There where Ash's Pokéballs(including the green ones) and Gary's Pokéballs and a lot more of them so there must be a lot of kids who store their Pokéballs at prof. Oak. Besides that, if he would have only Ash's and Gary's balls he wouldn't need all that exercise room for the Pokémon.
And don't say they're his (I mean Oak's) Pokémon, because he doesn't have that many.
This might sound a little Farfetch'd (heehee) but maybe Damien made his own PokéDex and all of his Pokémon teleport to his backpack or something. Either that or he has some kind of illegal devise that makes his pokéballs unable to teleport away. Then again, think of how much better the scene is when he holds up 30 pokéballs instead of just 6.
In actual fact it is not illegal to carry more than six pokemon when you are a trainer. This rule only applies to pokemon league trainers who are not allowed more than six. If you just want to collect and train pokemon, you can have as many as you want. The reason most trainers only seem to have a few is because it would be too difficult and tiring to train lots of pokemon.
