When the guy on the couch gives Thurgood the note that says Kenny is in jail, look at everyone's clothes. They are wearing regular clothes, but when they get to the jail, they are wearing work uniforms.

This is because they have to go directly to work after visiting Kenny. They put on their uniforms after receiving the note but before going to the jail.

Maybe they changed clothes before they went to the jail because they had to go to work when they left.
