When the LeQuint Dickey Mining Co. employee was trying to determine whether Django was telling the truth about the wanted poster and the $11,500 bounty on the Brittle Brothers back at Candyland he asked the slaves in the caged cart for more information.

One of them replied that Django had ridden into Candyland the previous day and that he was a bounty hunter. However, the cover that Django and Dr. Schultz had been portraying was that they were slavers interested in Mandingo fighting and that Django was a Mandingo fighting trainer. There was never any talk of them being bounty hunters while they were at Candyland.
