This is a slipup in a way, but it's more like how can you write something like this in the script..

In the movie crime of passion with Barbara Stanwyck, she's trying hard for her husband to get ahead in the police dept and so she conives her way into becoming friendly with the boss and his wife,the boss played by Raymond Burr...she seduces Burr so her husband will get the inspector job, Burr feels guilty and spurns her, she shoots and kills him. in the middle of the night her husband the detective is called to the scene of the crime. She listens to it on the radio around 6 in the morning. It's states that his body was found by a maid ..a maid coming to work at 3 in the morning. Why couldn't the script have his body discovered maybe at 6 or 7, most people are in bed at 3 hardly a time for a maid to come to work. To me the slipup is no one thought to change the time of day. Maids don't go to work in the middle of the night.
